Preferable PC Antivirus for OpenBCI platform?
@wjcroft There are so many types of antivirus on offer for browsing the Internet and keeping one's PC software free from malware through frequent updates and scanning. What Antivirus programme do members of the OpenBCI community find most secure and cost effective? I, for one, know that Avast provides a free Antivirus programme with an option to upgrade to an annual subscription for the more comprehensive Avast Premium Security. I have also had some experience with an Anti-virus programme provided by DuckDuckgo.

I would recommend just the plain and free Microsoft Defender,

If you are not running Windows 10, the most beneficial thing you can do for OS security, is upgrade immediately.
I agree with @wjcroft. I use Windows 10 and Mac OS X.
Greatest defense is visiting reputable websites and being careful what you download!
Here is a reputable list from PC Mag: https://www.pcmag.com/picks/the-best-free-antivirus-protection
I've used AVG free edition in the past, downloaded from https://ninite.com . I would look at apps provided by ninite.com also.
