questions for building a complete system

Hi guys, I'm a noob, this is my first time, so lots of doubts, but wanting to start my build soon,
I want to build the cyton, with daisy chain and 3D print the helmet,

Can I just hire a source, fabrication subcontractor in China and send the schematics and BOM?
Where are the files to 3d print the helmet?
How to build the dry electrodes for the helmet?
Are there any pitfalls? all is updated?
Any blogs, tutorials with people that have built their own setup?

I built the openEEG like 10 years ago, and now found this awesome project!, lots to learn!

Thanks!

Hello, this project was time consuming but also fun. If you have the means and are interested in experimentation, I would recommend it.

I had the PCBs manufactured in China from JLCPBC and purchased all of electrodes online from Florida Research Instruments. I built the comfort inserts with my 3D printer but do not have any experience building my own electrodes. I don't view this as being a simple task and would recommend purchasing these.

All the software/hardware files you need are located on GitHub:

Pitfalls... again if you are truly doing this as a DIY, you will need to have some patience and be prepared for things not to work without playing around and debugging. Many of the parts were obsolete when I built mine, and I am sure that even more are no longer available, so that makes it a bit more tricky. The RFDuino was obsolete so I had to get my setup to work solely with the WiFi Shield. It functions but the WiFi Shield is not an optimized board and has some issues with noise that make it less than ideal.

Putting a blog/tutorial together for a "DIY from scratch" is a large task on its own, but I have seen a few that have done it. Google and search this board as there is a ton of information.
