Intensive 'awareness' protocols for at home neurofeedback training?
Hi Everyone :-) ,
I am looking for any protocols or training methodologies that can train awareness for 40-50 hours in a given week.
TAG Sync looks really good for this purpose but has limitations like beta spindling etc and the recommended time is about 30 min. per day as well,to my knowledge.
If such protocols don't exist then I would love to make one so any insights regarding that would be really helpful as well.
With Warm Regards,
MS

MS, hi.
Generally neurofeedback works best if some time is allowed between sessions. Say a few sessions per week of a half hour or so. Training 8 hours per day, five days a week is generally both impractical and counterproductive.
You might be interested to know that Pete van Deusen, now has his protocol suite running with BioEra. BioEra can receive data from both Cyton and Ganglion OpenBCI boards. Though the protocols are 4 channels or less. His original Bioexplorer suite was primarily 2 channel protocols.

If you are looking for meditation training, there are some relevant threads:

See the 2 channel protocol videos on this page:

These protocols can be setup with the free BrainBay or neuromore apps. And also with BioEra if you have it.

Thanks for the reply, Wjcroft.
I read that Biocybernaut (Dr. James Hardt) and 40 years of Zen do a similar level of intensive practice (about 40-50 hours in a given week, or even more depending on the type of training, if I am recalling it correct). Not sure if they focus on Alpha enhancement throughout or mix it significantly with resolution of emotional issues, coaching etc. which aids in that.
Is there anyway to create a similar effect?
After our email communication I already went through the 2 channel protocols and currently my protocol of choice is TAG Sync plus experimentation. :-)
Read Hardt's book, "The Art of Smart Thinking". His protocol is MUCH more involved than just daily neurofeedback sessions. The $15K+ fee is also borderline outrageous. But I guess tech moguls are flush with cash. ;-)
Dr. Jeff Tarrant's Neuromeditation Institute would be a much better investment for the average person.

Gosh, $15K is the cheap route. You can also do, $20K, $50K, or $80K for a week of 'Biocybernaut' training. Clearly priced for private jet owners... ;-)

If his claims do not raise a mountain full of red flags for you, I don't know what would. Dr. Jeff Tarrant on the other hand is an actual scientist with published papers. And down to earth pricing.
