Two Headsets - Two Ganglion/Daisy's?

Hi all,
I apologize if this has been asked/answered already. I searched earlier threads and wasn't able to find it.

Given the population I'm working with (mix of male and female university students), I expect to need two Ultracortex Mark IV headsets in different sizes. If we are only running one participant at a time, I assume that in theory I could get away with one Ganglion/Daisy 16-channel unit, swapping it between frames as needed. But I'm wondering if, in practice, it will be too much of a headache to be switching back and forth. How long would it take to switch a Ganglion/Daisy from one headset to another? And are there issues other than time?

Thanks very much for your help

    JC, hi.

Ganglion is the 4 channel board. Cyton is the 8 channel mainboard plus 8 (=16) Daisy extension board. It is straightforward to unplug connectors and replug to new headset. You may be able to use some tape (or zip ties) along the wires / connectors to keep them organized. Should only take you say around 10 minutes to transfer over.

  • Hi William,
Ack - yes, thank you for the correction on which board I was referring to. I think 10 minutes should be manageable. I guess if things prove otherwise I can look at a second board set. The tape is a good idea as well - thanks for that suggestion.
