New to OpenBCI / suggestions for use of software to classify response to music

I'm a composer and I'm doing research into the effects of certain musical ideas I have. I've set up all my OpenBCI gear and I was wondering what 3rd party software you'd advise me to use to read the data I collect.

Another related area is called "affective bci", measuring emotional valence / response.

My suggestion is that you scan the previous research papers published regarding emotional / valence / affective response to music, and find research projects that resonate with your goals. Those that seem to provide the kinds of results you are expecting to see in terms of how they classify the music samples, based on signal processing of the EEG.
Once you have found some projects that resonate, I suggest you contact the lead author on the paper (whose email is generally listed on the published pdf). They might then be willing to share their classification methodology with you. This might involve signal processing algorithms, code, sample sets, machine learning algorithms, etc. You can then run your own music against this classifier and see what is shown / predicted.
