Battery Power Solutions for 3-7 day Continuous Recording
in Cyton
I want to record EEG over the course of multiple days. I know that some are using battery packs but was looking for some suggestions for something reliable to power the Cyton. Any good battery power solutions that might work for this case?
Comments
Cyton current draw is about 50 milliamps. Lithium cells are rated in mAh, milliamp-hours. You can see the range of cells at Adafruit,

A 6600 mAh cell, divided by 50, equals about 132 hours. Divide by 24, gives about 5.5 days.

Generally Adafruit does careful quality control. Would advise caution with other Chinese vendors. Here is a 10K mAh cell,

Note the JST connector may be different polarity than what Cyton expects. See comments. Easily reversed.
Adafruit also sells chargers for these cells. Or you can find online.
@wjcroft Really appreciate the suggestions!
