GUI error (graphics driver) macOs Sierra 10.12.6

Hi everyone.
I have just downloaded the last version of BCI_GUI v4.1.6 and also v4.1.5 for Mac. But when I open it, it just flickers like if it was going to open because I see the window a couple of times but it doesn't open and gives me an error. I have open it from the terminal and gives me this error.
A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:

The error shown above appears to be related to the Apple Intel HD3000 Graphics OpenGL Driver. (As shown in the message.) This usually indicates you have obsolete OpenGL drivers installed on your OS. Since Sierra is a few years old at this time, have you considered upgrading to a later macOS? Catalina was just released, but you may still be able to download Mojave.

What do you see when you select the Apple icon menu "About this Mac" ?

You could also just try running on another machine, Mac, Windows, or Linux.
Thank you very much wjcroft!! I would update the the OpenGL driver or if it doesn't work the OS. I've sent you an screen shot of the "about this mac" anyway.

I have just checked everything you said William. This mac is too old for any updates apparently. So I will need to spend some money. I will download an older version of the GUI to see if it works on this machine. Thank you!!!!
The GUI is running under the Processing language, which is a dialect of Java. You might check Processing and Java user groups for possible solutions.

Apple is apparently dropping support for OpenGL 'eventually', but leaving it in for now. Since your machine has an old version, it may be possible still to pickup a supported version of the OpenGL library for Processing. You might try following the instructions for running the GUI from the Processing IDE. That may give more diagnostics and options,
