what is the minimum distance between battery and open bci board?

hello,
what is the minimum distance between the battery and Open Bci board? Could the battery contaminate the signal if it is too close to the board for instance in a box/enclosure?
Cheers! k

    Kris, hi.

No, the battery (AA pack or LiPo), is strictly DC only. Cannot generate any noise in your signal. In a typical Ultracortex setup, the LiPo cell is right next to and touching the back of the Cyton or Ganglion. And both are mounted together in the enclosure that attaches to the Ultracortex frame.

Thanks William, very good to know.

There HAVE been some recent comments on the possibility that some interference can occur from the wifi transmitter on the Wifi Shield board, and the Cyton or Ganglion mainboard. See,

    http://openbci.com/forum/index.php?p=/discussion/2057/problems-with-wifi-connection

On that thread AlexB suggests there could be noise coupling happening from the Wifi antenna on the shield, into the mainboard. I link to some shield materials that could provide a workaround.
