Cyton Kit is not communicating with Dongle

Hello,
I bought the cyton kit Two Years ago, It used to work fine then, after a while, I need to use it again and am finding it difficult to make dongle communicate with the Cyton Kit.
I followed all the steps in the tutorial on the page (https://docs.openbci.com/Tutorials/01-Cyton_Getting Started_Guide), but it's not working, sometimes it's connecting, but the connection is breaking up and then it's not communicating again for a while.
When I am trying to connect the kit to computer it's showing this status "Error connecting to serial port. Try a different port ?"
I tried changing all the ports and tried pressing get channel and auto scan to get similar results (when cyton Kit is on PC mode and Ganglion is in GPIO_6).
I also tried reinstalling the RTDI drivers, it's not working either.
Could you please tell me how can I solve this error ?
Do I need to buy a new kit and Ganglion module ?
Will it work or will it give me same error ?

Dharminder, hi.
Is it possible there is other Bluetooth activity in your lab or home, that might be interfering with the Cyton / dongle radio link? There are some Bluetooth monitoring apps available (e.g. on Android Play Store), that can give you some idea of the activity in your area.
If indeed there is a level of Bluetooth that may be interfering, you can change the radio channel used by Cyton/dongle to attempt to avoid this. You may need to get to a more quiet radio area first, to give this a chance to work. You can also use a usb extension cable to position the dongle within inches of the Cyton.
The same tutorial you reference, explains how to change the radio channel. The Android app can show you the direction / position of potential Bluetooth interference.

Yes I did try changing different radio channels, and my dongle is within 5 to 10 cm distance from the cyton kit. Also I do experiments in a totally isolated lab where there is no electric interference and i make sure no other wireless devices are active within that limited area.
Still it's giving me the above problem. I am wondering if the dongle or kit is damaged or not.
With the GUI, you can read out which firmware you have. Can you tell me that number?
