Using the ganglion board to read EMG detecting subvocalizations for biofeedback to train suppression

Hello,
I just received my ganglion board and gold cup electrodes this past week. 
My goal is to detect EMG signals in the throat of the muscles associated with subvocalizations, and provide biofeedback either with a loud audio signal in an earbud, or possibly a vibrating transducer or other touch feedback attached to the collar bone or something similar and sensitive.

Here is a paper of a study done in 1969, where they used biofeedback to condition subjects to suppress their subvocalizations while reading silently:

I eventually want to have a raspberry pi process the data and be portable with the audio feed back, maybe the ganglion mounted on a collar or necklace of some kind.

I am going to continue to educate myself going forward, but I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions on how I might go about this project.
