  Thank you for your response. We have Ultra-cortex headset with cyton board having spiky electrodes.We have already followed the above link and the output signal is available at Openbci GUI which can be further processed for EEG classification.

  
  

  The thing we are confused about is that, how to check the connectivity of the electrodes after placing the headset on subject's  head i.e., either the electrodes are attached with scalp or not?

  Clicking the ohm will toggle on the impedance check for that channel. Comparing the different values you see will help you determine if a particular channel has much higher impedance than others. That means that the skin contact there could be improved.
