Ultracortex Battery Pack Placement?

profj143profj143 Minneapolis
I have purchased the pre-assembled ultracortex and connected all the electrodes to the cyton+daisy, however the whole thing is bulky and with the battery pack attached, it doesn't fit into the space provided on the back and I'm not sure how to secure the battery pack. Are there any recommendations for doing this people can wear this without the cyton+daisy and battery pack dangling off the back?

Also, another tutorial had be put the plastic feet on the cyton board for stability, and now they are stuck and in the way. How can I safely take them out or should I leave them in? Adds to the bulk factor of the cyton+daisy+battery pack.

I attached a small plastic box to the back of the Mark IV Ultracortex, and put a rechargeable battery with a charger inside. This adds a small bit of weight, but this was just my solution.

Also, I made an extended board cover for Cyton+Daisy to make room for the extra height, and secured in the sides with screws so it doesn't fall off.

Maybe I should share my setup in a community post.

    Prof, hi.

Have you considered the LiPo battery flat packs? Many mAh sizes to choose from, even the small ones will power for hours.

re: plastic feet, these can be removed by simply pressing them out from the back side, or pulling / prying from the other. You could use a thin blade to get some leverage. Be careful you don't damage any circuit traces with the metal tool.
