Electrode Problem and Raw Data for Commands

I am part of an undergraduate research course where we are attempting to fly a drone through use of your Mark IV Headset and ganglion board. We have a problem with one of our electrodes. We have a spiky unit attached to channel 1 (according to the openBCI GUI), also in Fp1. The readings from this are very low compared to our other electrodes. Another electrode was in channel two, and then the two remaining switch between channels 3 & 4 and then to channels 5 & 6: no problems in any of these channels or electrodes. We have tried switching between different electrodes and channel one always has a very low output (less than 10uVrms) while the rest fluctuate quite a lot. Is there any fix to this? Or is it typical for this channel to have very little fluctuation.
Also, we had very little luck with software, so we are trying to use the raw data from the lock files in order to give basic commands to the drones. We have already coded for the drone to do certain movements for numbers we get from the electrodes, but do you have any examples of others doing this?
