Sources for electrodes

I have the 8 bit board, and I got the stock electrodes, as well as the extra cable break out for "store bought" electrodes. Looking for a resource to order some nicer electrodes. Something not too expensive, and easy for a novice to use.

    There are also a range of "saline solution" based sensors, that use a salt solution and tension bands rather than the Ten20 paste and cup electrodes. This makes for easier application and cleanup. (Emotive EPOC is one such.) I have a set of web pages I'm assembling on these systems, including one that you can build yourself using velcro. I'll post that info on the forum this weekend.

    These are all what you could call "passive electrodes". Dry or Active electrodes also exist which sometimes have a pre-amp built into each sensor. We are anticipating that these will be coming down in price and available as sub assemblies for incorporation into custom headware.

    Thanks for the response. I did some research too and see there are many options.

    Something that would really help us neophytes out is a list of recommended, basic items to get up and running. I understand the OpenBCI folks have really spent a lot of time on the hardware, which is key. Now it's time to get the guides and how-tos to be robust. That will really help this platform expand and excel!
