packet errors with GUI V1, fixed in V2

Hi, I'm still running the first version of OpenBCI GUI and lately I'm getting a lot of 'keeping packets' errors.
I looked it up in code and it seems to me that it is some sort of an error in communication between the BCI board and the dongle.
It is not consistent.
I have set up my USB port to 1ms.
The batteries are fresh.
What could be the reason?
It is causing some serious lag on the software that is using the signals. =/
