events and epoche

I am interesting in ERP analysis, so recently I installed eeglab/erplab for my openbci asc (II) files analysis. I`m just beginner in this job, please could anybody tell me how to input events data in some of columns in openbci textual files? Maybe, there is some software solution to make synchronisation between relevant signal event and eeg data.
