All 8 channels railing on headset
Hello,

I'm using an OpenBCI 8-channel headset, and I'm experiencing noise on all channels. No power is flowing to the laptops on the table (they're all on battery), and all the pins are secured on. The only peculiar thing is that when shorting each channel to ground, one appears to be on by default. Could this be a software (error-checking) bug? Any additional advice (besides what's listed on the main troubleshooting website?)

Thanks,
Eric

Can you try a test with the gold cups as shown on the tutorial,

Try swapping around your electrode leads, you may have a bad reference (SRB2) connection (wire or connector).
Another test you can try is to use a glob of Ten20 paste or alligator clips, to connect together all of your channels, plus SRB2, plus Bias. This should result in about 0 microvolts on all channels.
