second (new) OpenBCI board, data comm delays

Hi admin and all

I've just brought new openBCI. Now, I have two openBCI boards at same specification.

I am not so sure that why the new one has problem with data communication.

The streaming is quite delay and lag. I saw the real-time plot was very lagging and delaying. 

I used same version of software and same PC. No such a problem with the old one.

Could you have any suggestion, please?

    Are you running both boards simultaneously? Is it possible there could be some RFduino channel conflicts? What channels are shown on the board anti-static bag? Any other wireless equipment in the area that is operating simultaneously?

    P300Man, Please tell us if you are using a Windows or a Mac or a Other.
    There is a known issue with the FTDI driver settings cause latency issues.
    There is a new fix for Mac computers here:
    The Windows fix is on a thread here...
    @wjcroft, can you link the windows FTDI fix?

    I seperately used it. not simultaneously.

    and I used Window OS. Both boards are 8bit arduino.

    I can say that something wrong because eveything in my setup was same as the first board. But the new board had that problem.

    This is the Latency fix for Windows. However P300 is running both his tests on the same laptop. So likely he has applied this already.

    I assume he is using the new dongle with the new board, and old dongle with the old board. If they are different channels then that is the only way data will get through.

    Exactly, The channel is difference. I used the new dongle with the new board, and old dongle with the old board.  So, what I can do for solving this problem?

    Is it possible there is another wireless application in your vicinity that is interfering with the new board? Can you move to another location, say several rooms away from where you are at now?

    One example of this, is that sometimes people use Bluetooth for streaming audio. Or other continuous wireless transfers, etc.

    Can you also check the Control Panel settings for both COM ports, to make sure there are no differences in baud rates, etc.
