Cyton shows BOARD_NOT_READY error

Hi, I had purchased Cyton board along with dongle almost 3 years ago. I connect to the board using brainflow library in python via dongle. It has suddenly started to show the BOARD_NOT_READY error (Please see the attached picture for reference).
When sometimes it gets connected there is lot of packet loss and sometimes the data received is also out of order (inferred based on timestamp). What can be done to resolve this issue?
Thanks,

Hi Shatroopa,
Please email to customer support (contact at openbci.com) and give a link to this Forum post. They may have some insights.
With packet loss, a common suggestion is to use a USB extension cord to position the dongle closer to the Cyton mainboard. Some customers drape the end of the cord (with dongle) over the top of a nearby monitor. That way there is clear line of sight between dongle and mainboard.
You can also ask if there is any new wireless or electromagnetic interference in your current location. Such as routers, cell towers, LED lighting, AC extension cords, power supplies, conduits in (walls, floor, ceiling), etc. Experiment with moving your setup to a less 'electronic' environment.
