OpenBCI_GUI, noise on unused channels?

I connected:

bias electrode to my right ear,

srb2 on my forehead,

and two electrodes in my opptical area.

This is screen from the OpenBCI GUI:

I set "don't include" for bias and "off" for srb2 for channel 3,4,5,6,7,8. I think that signal from channel 3 is very weird. It is possible that my OpenBCI board is broken? Sometimes everythinhg is ok, sometimes more than one channel has weird signal.

Nek, hi.

You should turn off all your unused channels (3 through 8), by clicking on the colored squares. No need to fiddle with the Chan Set tab settings as you are doing.

Yes, as wjcroft said, when you turn off a channel, it is automatically removed from the SRB2 connection, and also not included in BIAS generation.

If you want to do simultaneous EEG and ECG or EMG, or use one OpenBCI board with two subjects, then it make sense to adjust the channel gain, SRB and BIAS settings.
