Compatibility electrodes with Cyton

Sorry for my bad English!
I am working only with Openbci products or products sold by Openbci: then Cyton + a lot of solutions for electrodes, caps, etc… .
Last product: the Gelfree cap that has arrived a week ago at my home!
The question: if I would buy electrodes by other companies to connect to Cyton board, what features must they have to be compatible with the Cyton? Features for the physical connection (e.g., touchproof connectors - header pin connectors) but also for the electrical compatibility or for other reasons.
Thank you!
Etc
ps Merry Christmas and Happy new year!

    Hi Etc,

Almost all electrodes that are labeled for EEG use can be used. However note that you should not MIX electrode metals, for example using some electrodes that are gold plated and some that are silver. Such mixing can cause galvanic voltage artifacts. Other metals sometimes seen are tin. The 'gold' plated electrodes have tin or silver under the gold layer.

The header pins on the boards mate with header connectors. Most EEG electrodes use touchproof. So you will need the adapter.

The Gelfree cap uses silver chloride electrodes. These type are also used in some of the 'dry' electrodes sold.
