Packet Transmission Frequency

Dear OpenBCI community,

for a research project, I am interested in building a biofeedback system, that returns EMG or ECG signals to the emitter (the person from whom the signals are recorded) in real-time, i.e. with minimal delay. For this purpose, I believe it would be necessary to update the packet transmission frequency from a Cyton board. At the moment I understand it, that approximately one packet is received every 0.5s (with 120 data points as chunks - given a sampling frequency of 250Hz). I understand that this is done on purpose, given the limited bluetooth transmission bandwidth.

However, if I were to record data on just one channel, and with lower sampling frequency (e.g. 125Hz), the bandwidth could be enough for more frequent packet transmission (e.g. one every 100ms or less). So now I am wondering: Is it possible to configure the Cyton like that? And if so, how?

Thanks everyone for your ideas and feedback in advance!

Best regards
Michael
