Is there a firmware for bluetooth?

Hello,
Does anyone know how I can get the firmware for bluetooth? (for both dongle and cyton board).
The cyton board version is V3.
I wonder if I can get a firmware for those.

    Hi Koi,

Cyton uses a custom Bluetooth protocol called 'Gazelle', that is much faster than Bluetooth Low Energy. So Cyton and the dongle cannot be converted to plain BLE, it just does not have enough bandwidth.

Hello, thank you for the info!
If I want to replace the current wireless communication part of my board - like, I want to reform the cyton board with a new rfduino or so- is there a way I can achieve it somehow?

The current firmware in the dongle and mainboard (RFduino's), is highly tuned to how the OpenBCI_GUI accesses the radio link. Including radio channel changing and AUTO-SCAN modes. And the re-flashing documented procedures depend on all of this working identically.

So it is not recommended to do any changing of the radio link, if you want all of this to continue to function normally.
