ADS1299 to Cyton Pins

I was looking at the schematic diagrams and I am a little confused. In the depiction of the ADS1299 (https://github.com/OpenBCI/V3_Hardware_Design_Files/blob/master/OpenBCI Cyton Designs/OBCI_V3_32bit-Schematic.jpg) there is a connection marked "Reserved" which does not exist the the ADS1299 datasheet (https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ads1298.pdf?ts=1613539277274&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ti.com%2Fproduct%2FADS1298)
Additionally I would just like to confirm the following connections, please let me know if I got any wrong:

  • All digital ground (DGND pins) are set to analog ground.
  • TESTP_PACE_OUT1 is SRB1 and TESTN_PACE_OUT2 is SRB2 (what is the second pin of SRB1 and SRB2 connected to?)
  • All AVDD's are connected (including AVDD_1)
  • All AVSS's are connected (including AVSS_1)
  • VREFP is and VREFN are connected to what?
  • DOUT is MISO and DIN is MOSI
  • What do the four GPIO connect to?
  • RLDREF is connected to analog ground
  • RLDINV is Bias Inverter
  • RLDIN and RLDOUT are combined in Bias driver
  • Bias Inverter and Bias driver make up the BIAS pins on the cyton?
  • What is WCT connected to?

Comments

  • Hi sigcraft,
the ADC's datasheet you linked is the one of the ADS1298, which it not the one used by the cyton board.
Instead please refer to the ADS1299 datasheet here.
    Godspeed!
