Advice on starting research

I am a senior college student and my professor and I want to start research with EEG. We are on a low cost budget and are looking for simple behavioral tasks that can be performed so that results can be recorded. Is there any advice on how to get the EEG machine started up or any advice for the research itself?

    a movie is the simplest thing to record EEG about. it's material that can be understood because there's the movie theme and subject matter so you can record EEG and expect to read the movie watching experience in the form of EEG
