.text file transfer into eeglab

Hi, we recorded excellent eeg data via OpenBCI GUI. Then we want to do some research with eeglab. Do we need to do any tranfer of the .text file before we import the recording data into matlab. When we plot the .text data in eeglab, we can not see the original trace of EEG signal.
