Student project with low budget

Hello, I'm a student in biomedical engineering and I want to start working on my own BCI project.
However, I don't have a lot of money to spend on it and the OpenBCI tools are quite expensive.
Do you know how I could make my own BCI with a low budget ? I would need electrodes and a way to bring the signals to my computer using python.
