Wifi shield: channels 9-16 all giving 0uV [resolved]
Hello, I am new to Cyton+Daisy+ Wifi shield. I found my channel 9-16 gave 0uV reading and zero impedance. The Cyton+Daisy+dongle configuration works fine, which indicates wifi shield causes the trouble. Any diagnosis or suggestions? Thank you very much for your help!

Buzz, hi.
Are you using the latest GUI v5? Has the Wifi Shield ever worked correctly? When did you order it? Have you tried from another laptop? Wifi Direct or through router? Have you tried the other Wifi mode? Etc.
Regards, William
Yes, It is latest GUI v5. This Wifi shield works with cyton alone, although there is noise issue yet to be resolved. I have the ordered the all-in-one biosensing 2 weeks ago, so it’s a brand new system. I have tried on MacBook Pro and Mac mini, and both showed same symptoms - channels 9-16 from daisy were mute via WiFi. Cyton+daisy seems normal via Bluetooth connection. I have set up the direct wifi mode only. Thanks!
OK, it sounds like your new Wifi Shield might be damaged. Please email contact at openbci.com and ask how to proceed. It's possible that the Wifi Shield firmware might be corrupted. This page explains how to re-flash that. And is worth a try.

The fact that the Shield is not passing the chip select function through to the Daisy, however, sounds more like an issue with the shield pass through connectors or circuit board.
Mentioning @openbci.

Hello William, It does not resolve the issue after updating Wifi Shield firmware. Seems I should request for a replacement. Thanks a lot for your kind help.
I agree with William that you should contact OpenBCI support via email, since updating the WiFi firmware did not help.
Thanks! will do
