No data from WIFI shield + Cyton after starting session

Hello,
I was able to connect to the WIFI shield (Direct mode). I then clicked "Start Session" and it said everything was ready to go. However, when I clicked "Start Data Stream," there was no data sent to the GUI or the output text file.
For the Cyton board, should it be in the PC position? I've tried all combinations and it will connect but there will be no data.

Here is the output of OpenBCI GUI:

Jake, hi. Have you search the forum or Github for recommended tips? Such as,

    https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_WIFI/issues/82

Using TWO AA battery packs, one for Cyton, one for shield. The shield power supply is more stabile in this configuration.

Trying different protocol modes. I believe from the trace you are using UDPx3, have you tried TCP?

    Etc.

    Regards, William

I see some suspicious console log lines here:

Ch 0, Not Active, x24, Normal, Dont Include, Off, Off
Ch 1, Active, x24, Normal, Include, On, Off
InitSettings: /home/martin/Documents/OpenBCI_GUI/Settings/CytonUserSettings.json not found or other error.
    SoftwareSettings: Removed old/broken settings file.

I recently coded this feature. This log shows the GUI trying to load an incompatible settings file, which now gets deleted. The only other way to fix such issues is to overwrite the file somehow or we can "Clear All Settings" from the Settings dropdown in the top right of the GUI.

I recommend trying again, now that the old settings are gone, or do "Clear All Settings" before you "Start Session".

  • cleaning doesn't help me, maybe I have another problem that looks the same. Here is my log

Please try using a different battery configuration and make sure the batteries have full charge. Just helped another developer who was able to connect but not stream, and the battery was low on the Cyton.

I tried both batteries before and it didn't work. i will try again when I get back to my office next week. Thanks!
