Board Bluetooth no connection, blue light not blinking

My hope is that this is a basic issue/non-error

I recently purchased and began using a Ganglion 4-channel board. Soon after initial usage, my board reached a state where, now, whenever I turned it off and on, it is unable to connect to the GUI via bluetooth (MacOS). This error appeared after multiple successful Bluetooth connections and data streams.

More specifically, the blue light on the board remains on, however, it does not blink as it once did when awaiting a bluetooth connection. Pressing the button on the board has no effect on this issue either; the light turned off on button press, and on when button released. Though the board clearly has power, it seems to be unable to enter Bluetooth pairing mode, and the GUI is unable to find my board during search. Note I have tried both built in Bluetooth with my Mac (previously successful) as well as the USB Bluetooth dongle.

Is there a procedure I must/may complete to essentially reset my board so it may connect? Please let me know if you have any information regarding this issue. Thank you!

    Michael, hi.

It's possible that some glitch has occurred in the Ganglion firmware. Or that your Mac itself might have an issue. Have you tried connecting to the Ganglion from a completely different laptop?

It is possible to reflash the firmware,

    https://docs.openbci.com/docs/03Ganglion/GanglionProgram

But if the other laptop exhibits the same issue, I'd first suggest sending an email to contact at openbci.com, and ask how you should proceed, especially since this was a recent purchase. Mentioning @openbci.

    Regards, William

@wjcroft I followed the tutorial for re-flashing the Ganglion firmware. After downloading the LightBlue app to detect my Ganglion board through bluetooth, the app is unable to find the board. The tutorial states that LightBlue should list the board as "Simblee". This must mean the board is not discoverable via bluetooth, both for the desktop GUI and the LightBlue mobile app.

I have reached out to [email protected], support@openbci, and [email protected] and am currently awaiting a response.
