Power recommendation for Cyton+Daisy with WiFi Shield.

Hey folks,
I am new here. I am currently setting up the Cyton+Daisy boards with a Wi-Fi shield. I want to know what is the best option to power this setup. I currently use 4xAA (6V) batteries.

    Prajwal, hi.

As long as your setup is working with a given battery, the battery type should not matter that much. So either the AA pack or lithium cell are fine.

However, let me qualify that by saying some users of the Wifi Shield, have noticed that wifi radio transmissions are more reliable with TWO separate batteries are used, one for Cyton, and one for the Shield. And in fact, some users have reported less error packets by using TWO AA packs, because of the higher voltage (6V vs 3.7V).

But the general rule would be, as long as you are streaming fine with no radio / packet errors or glitches, type of battery is less relevant.

How has your setup been with the single AA pack? If it works, you are fine.

Some users of the Ultracortex prefer the lithium cells because they are lighter and can fit into case, etc. more easily.

    Regards, William
