Change accelerometer sample rate
Hi all,
I need to increase the accelerometer sample rate from 25 Hz to at least 200 Hz. It is possible to do it? I have a Cyton board.

Bruno

Bruno, hi.
This should be possible. For example, when the Cyton is set to return the Aux data (analog or digital), those three 16 bit samples are returned in every packet, 250 times per second. So by finding the section in the firmware that is limiting the accelerometer samples per second, you should be able to override this. The accel chip itself allows a high sample rate. Output data rates from 1 Hz to 5 kHz, according to the data sheet.

Firmware is here:

DefaultBoard is the default firmware installed at the factory.

Thank you, i'm going to look at it
I finally change the sample rate, replacing the line 342 from RATE_25HZ to RATE_200HZ, of the 'OpenBCI_32bit_Library.cpp' file.
Thanks again,
Bruno
