    The GUI uses OpenGL graphics libraries to display info on screen. Each PC manufacturer has 'drivers' for their graphics chip / board that understand the latest OpenGL version. Usually the fix for blank screen is to download latest graphics drivers (including OpenGL) for your particular model of computer. This is found on the manufacturer website support section.
