    Hello Joe.
    I bought the cyton + daysi boards and the wifi shield a couple of weeks ago. I have tried in many ways to connect to the wifi shiled but I could not. 
    Through the dongle I can connect and acquire samples without problem
    Would you kindly tell me what operating system and what firmware are you using?

    Hello Willian, thanks for answering.
    Yes, I have tried all the tips of the link, but I have not succeeded.
    When I try to connect to the wifi-shield the system simply does not connect, but when I type the ip address in the browser I can enter to the settings menu. I can also acquire samples through python but I would like to do that through the GUI because it allows me to measure the impedance, see the signal and transmit through LSL. (I usually use matlab, I know very little about python)
    I'm using windows 10
    Any feedback would be appreciated!

    I assume you are using the OpenBCI GUI (V 4.0.4, HUB V 2.0.5). What hardware and OS are you using? Have you tried on another machine?

    Where does the process break down when you follow the tutorial?

    Yes, I'm using OpenBCI GUI (V 4.0.4, HUB V 2.0.5). I have the modules cyton + daysi, but I tried to connect only with the cyton module and I could not. I have 64-bit windows 10.

    I have carefully followed all the steps of the tutorial. When I write the ip address of the wifi-shield I can enter the configuration menu. When I write 192.168.4.1/board I receive (sometimes)
    {"board_connected": true, "board_type": "cyton", "num_channels": 8, "gains": [24,24,24,24,24,24,24,24]}

    But when I want to connect to the OpenBCI GUI I just get a message that says "trying to connect ..." and nothing else.

    I have been trying for several weeks to acquire signals from my cyton + daysi boards through WIFI Shield but I have not been able to.

    Through the dongle I can acquire, storage and transmit signals without problem, but when I want to connect through WIFI the OpenBCI_GUI does not work.
    When I type the IP address of the Wifi Shield in the browser I can access the configuration menu without problem.
    My operating system is Windows 10.
    Could you please help me? I have followed all the advice I have read here but nothing has worked for me

    @diegoorellana, hi. I split your other posts into this new thread, devoted to your situation.

    Have you tried running the GUI from the Processing IDE? This will give more diagnostic information in the console log.


    Additionally, have you tried running the Wifi Shield on another completely different laptop hardware or OS?

    Have you tried the different ways to connect to the shield, Wifi Station and Wifi Direct,


    Would you also send an email to contact at openbci.com, asking for suggestions. Mentioning @openbci @techsupport @retiutut @daniellasry

    Yes, I have tried executing the GUI from the Processing IDE and also with Wifi direct and Wifi station.

    Tomorrow I will try to run the GUI in linux.

    I forgot to mention that when I click on the OPENBCI BOARD icon I receive 

    getTypeOfAttachedBoard: none

    but when I write http://192.168.4.1/board in the browser  I receive

    I have changed computers and it has worked well. I still do not know what the problem was but at least I already have the equipment running.
