unable to upload "GanglionWithSD" firmware through OTA

When I follow the tutorial procedure for uploading the firmware in order to write data to an SD card (from the GanglionBCI github example folder) I run into an issue. On the nrf Toolbox app under the DFU, when i have selected to prepared .zip file and try to upload it to the Ganglion to does not upload. i get "Error: Data size exceeds limit" from the IOS app.

am i doing this correctly? is there any other way to write to a SD card?
