Hi guys,

Did you know that there is a growing community in Montreal about BCIs ?

They will host a Hackathon in 2015 on BCI in Montreal ! Stay tuned.


Some of their members have created NeuralDrift, the Pacific Rim game ! 2 players have to sync their brain activity in order to control a robot. Like in the movie the 2 players have to initiate a Neural Handshake (calibration) prior to play. Multiplayer & Multiplatform, supporting Neurosky's Mindwave, Emotiv's EPOC, InteraXon's Muse, NeuroElectrics' Enobio. A project they did during a Hackathon on wearables in Montreal (WearHacks).

    Hi Chip,

    I'd definitely like to meet you and discuss BCI. From what I've seen on your blog over the past months (huge fan, btw ;)) we have some common interests.

    With BCIMontreal we are trying to build a community (physically in Montreal and remotely on the Web) from researchers to kids, from science to games, in order to promote and exploit brain-computer interfaces. We are currently building a solid team to push this organisation forward with different events and activities. Meetups and Hackathons are just 2 examples.
