Ear Clip Electrodes + Pulse Sensor on Ear?

Using Cyton+Daisy+Pulse Sensor+Linked Earlobes. When using a Pulse Sensor connected to the earlobe, should I keep trying to fit the ear clip reference electrode on that same earlobe? Sometimes they both fit on the earlobe, but I was wondering if there is a better way. Can I connect the ear clip to another part of the ear or another location? Thanks!

The headset earclips with flat surface and hinge, only really work well on the lobe. If you can get both pulse sensor and clip on the same lobe, that sounds best. Does the clip fit on other parts of your ear? If it fits anywhere on the ear, it's fine.

There are other "double cup" spring loaded ear electrodes, but these are always used with paste, and typically gold or silver cups. I've seen these clipped onto other parts of the ear. There might be Ag-AgCl types; all of these are fairly expensive.

Another alternative would be with foam Ag-AgCl stick on snap type electrodes, applied to the bare skin 'mastoid' bone area behind each ear.

Yes, the earclips provided with the Mark IV do fit in other ear locations. I hope this is true for most users. Thanks @wjcroft! I also like the 'mastoid'/snap electrode option.
