Cyton firmware versions: identification? differences? how to upgrade?
I read that Cyton has arrived at firmware version 3 (?). My board is older than summer 2016. I would like to upgrade, if there is a substantial advantage, for example time stamping.
So my questions are:
So my questions are:
- How can I identify my firmware version? (I read the http://docs.openbci.com/OpenBCI Software/04-OpenBCI_Cyton_SDK, but I don't know how to read the "startup messages" of the board)
- Is there some overview of the different versions (vs 1, vs 2, vs 3)? There is https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_32bit_Library/releases, but this page seems not very exhaustive.
- How to upgrade? There are some discussions that are not really encouraging (http://openbci.com/forum/index.php?p=/discussion/851/v2-firmware-upgrade-questions-on-cyton and http://openbci.com/forum/index.php?p=/discussion/954/uploading-v1-v2-firmware-read-page-failed).
- How to upgrade to vs 3? The link in https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_32bit_Library/tree/dev-3.0.0: "Checkout the upgrade guide!" seems broken.
Thanks for your answers, which may be certainly of general interest!
