need touchproof adapter or snap cables?

Hi,

I have done some work with EEG signal analysis before but am new to OpenBCI setup.

Recently the R&D kit seems to have been removed from the shop catalog.

Can you please let me know if there are any unnecessary items I am buying to get started with the OpenBCI setup.

1. Cyton + Daisy biosensing board

2. Ultra cortex mark IV headset

3. Goldcup electrodes + paste

I think the dry electrodes already come with the headset and i just need to connect them to the board. As for the gold cup electrodes, I am getting them only with the purpose of measuring EMG/EKG signals and they too will work fine by just plugging into the board.

Let me know if there is something that I am missing on the setup. Will "

The snap electrodes are for use with disposable ECG electrodes such as,

The touch proof adapter is for use with non-OpenBCI electrode cables, which use touchproof connectors. OpenBCI uses female header connectors, which don't require the adapter.

If you want a simple ECG / EMG hookup with no mess of paste or cleanup, then you can skip the gold cups and paste. But the cups and paste are relatively inexpensive and might be helpful if you want to use just a few electrodes on the head without the headset.
