BrainBay on macOS ?
by michellehuang42 ·Hey all - was wondering if anyone has had trouble with running BrainBay on a Mac recently? I'm using Wine to run the program, and successfully was able to run the latest Setup_BrainBay.exe file, but u -
EEG output to MIDI to sound
by wjcroft ·Most of the VPL (Visual Programming Languages) apps can do the EEG to MIDI conversion: BrainBay, BioEra, Neuromore, etc. It is also possible to pipe the EEG stream out of the OpenBCI_GUI, and into mus -
Remote Neurofeedback - Searching for optimal configuration
by wjcroft ·BrainBay DOES support Cyton and Ganglion, but the project as you notice is not very active. Feature set of element blocks is less than BioEra or Bioexplorer, but still useful for smaller scale project -
Remote Neurofeedback - Searching for optimal configuration
by tamalotes ·* BrainBay: While this is open-source; the project doesn't seem quite active. No software updates in more than a year... It also doesn't seem to be supporting BrainFlow - which will limits hardware su -
Real Cyberpunks use Neuro-Headsets and Electrode Gel ;D
by teknomage ·using my own brainwave data in real-time. I used BrainBay for this purpose to convert the raw EEG data into MIDI notes which were then sent either to a Modular emulator (VST) or to my own DIY hardwar -
Correlating ERP and Correlating EEG data with tasks performance
by SamB ·Hello! Sam here! Thus far I have played around with the Cyton board in BrainBay and skimmed around on the internet in preparation for upcoming research with my team. I plan to purchase the daisy modul -
8-bit 'Cyton' board, Future Updates?
by wjcroft ·So the current OpenBCI_GUI does not speak to the 8 bit board. But software that implements the base SDK serial port commands, should work. Though less reliably, because a lot of bug fixes happened to -

innovative PTSD neurofeedback (Tomas Ros PhD): alpha inhibit / desynchronization protocol
by wjcroft ·BrainBay amplitudes are in plain microvolts, not power (uV squared). -

Device capable of alpha theta neurofeedback / meditation?
by wjcroft ·See some references to other VPL apps in this recent thread, including BrainBay considerations. BrainBay can do arbitrary 'synchrony' calculations (by summing filtered channels, say from 8 to 12 Hz). -
Device capable of alpha theta neurofeedback / meditation?
by DaveG ·Hi, I'm also quite new in NFB and trying to decide between the ganglion and cyton to use with brainbay to do several 2 channel protocols. -
implementing Jeff Tarrant's Neuromeditation FOCUS protocol
by wjcroft ·re: neuromore. I think it is similar to BrainBay, and does not yet talk to Ganglion, even with the Hub. It only talks to Cyton. However neuromore can receive OSC format stream, and OpenBCI GUI can be -
implementing Jeff Tarrant's Neuromeditation FOCUS protocol
by wjcroft ·Here is a tutorial showing a similar type of design using BrainBay. (single channel, Alpha reward, Beta inhibit). -
implementing Jeff Tarrant's Neuromeditation FOCUS protocol
by wjcroft ·I'd recommend checking out these apps: neuromore, BrainBay, BioEra. These are all called 'VPL', Visual Programming Languages, where the design is constructed by a graphic series of function boxes. So -

Is Windows 10 the best OS for developing EEG software?
by wjcroft ·A plus for Windows is that it is a preferred platform for many neurofeedback packages such as BioEra, BrainBay, Bioexplorer. As well as BCI apps such as OpenViBE, etc.
