I am trying to use the snap electrodes to collect EEG data, as shown in the pic below. But I got all channels railed after started. I ran the impedance test and pretty much all electrodes are in a goo
  2. noise, high impedance: electrode cap with Cyton+Daisy

I am using OPENBCI 21 channel cap with Cyton and daisy board. My PHD thesis is to collect data for emotion classification using random visual stimuli. I have developed a MATLAB software to separate an
  3. How to keep channels open

Currently, if we keep a channel open/floating, the openBCI software will soon indicate 'railed 100%' and stop reading data. I am wondering if there is a way to keep it floating while still reading the

However, still wonder why the railed channel could work without the BIAS connected if the electrode is worn.

Do you have more in detail for this tip:- _Check board function: Connect SRB, BIAS, and railed Channel using jumpers / y-cables / ... This should give you roughly 0.00 uV. See picture (1)._ Since the

thanks for all these info, I just found that it still railed if I just turn off BIAS for the C3 channel. It can only work when I take off the BIAS earclip or turn BIAS off for all channels. And I foun

I also tried to use gold cup electrode on an ear lobe for reference, but then all channels became railed for some reason.

'BIAS' has a dual function, it acts like 'Ground' on most other EEG amplifiers. And it also provides a 'counter-mains' injection to reduce the mains noise. It is ok to use the GUI settings panel to tu

We found the channel of the C3 electrode is always railed if we connect both SRB and BIAS. Once we disconnect BIAS or disable it in the setting, seems like everything works well.

I don't believe that the GUI v4 or GUI v5 data pipelines would be related to what we see in this image. It's too odd and likely is accurate data from the board. Both the spikes/dips and small waves in
