Is a LiPo battery cell (around ~3.7v) going to be that much worse than the AA pack?

* 3.7V LiPo for the WiFi Shield + Cyton IS NOT recommended.

You just need to check it before a session, since the LiPo cells have quite a large capacity.

which can vary from around 4.2V to 3.2V with LiPo. The ADC pins for the Aux measurement should not go above 3.3V, the power supply voltage. So I'd suggest a voltage divider, to get into the range say

Have you considered the LiPo battery flat packs? Many mAh sizes to choose from, even the small ones will power for hours.

One other check you can do with the battery is measure the voltage at the connector (just to confirm your charger and battery are functional.) LiPo cells should be around 4.2v when fully charged. Do y

The GUI recognized the Cyton board. It seems there was a problem with the charging method of Lipo battery.

I used a 3.7v Lipo battery(860mAh), fully charged, on the Cyton with the WiFi Shield.

Cool design with the way the LiPo slides in, and the power extension.

OK... just to clarify, is that now one LiPo battery with Cytons (for powering both the Cyton and WiFi Shield), and two separate LiPo batteries when using Ganglions?

FYI, I was only just able to squeeze in the 1000mAh LiPo battery I bought, into the octagonal case at the rear of the headset. So, I should be good to go...

The Wifi shield has a 4-5x larger power draw then the Bluetooth communication system so we recommend using LiPo to save!
