Like many of you in the OpenBCI community, I believe brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) and mixed reality interactions have the potential to revolutionize personal computing. With immersive neuroadaptive interfaces, wearable neurotechnology can transform our physiological signals into the only multimodal input we need.
To bring that innovative vision to reality – I’m excited to join the OpenBCI team! I’ve admired this company and its people since high school for its pioneering work in expanding consumer access to neurotechnology. Their open-source R&D environment also lowers barriers to entry while protecting user privacy thoughtfully. In my new role, I’ll be supporting strategy and the upcoming release of the Galea Beta Headset, set to ship in Q3 of 2024. This groundbreaking device is the first to simultaneously measure a user’s heart (ECG), skin (EDA), muscles (EMG), eyes (EOG), and brain (EEG) – setting a new standard in the neurotechnology market. Stay tuned for exciting developments!
