Greetings OpenBCI community! We’re bringing you exciting updates for the end of July!

Recently two new products were added to our store—the low-cost EEG headband compatible with all OpenBCI boards, and EEG dry electrodes compatible with the Headband AND our Ultracortex Mark IV Headset. They serve as great replacements for original electrodes that have degraded over time. See the exclusive discount code below in section 1!

Just hours ago, we released the first beta for GUI v3.4.0, with brand-new features for all OpenBCI Boards. Changes include the ability to save/load your favorite GUI settings via dropdown menu or keyboard shortcut, auto-load settings when system starts, auto-save settings when system stops, and new BLED112 support for windows and linux! More information below in section 3!

1. New Products!

We’ve added a NEW EEG Headband to our online store, compatible with all OpenBCI Biosensing Boards! When paired with our Ganglion, Cyton, or CytonDaisy board, the OpenBCI EEG Headband is a low-cost option for obtaining 4, 8 or 16 channels of brainwaves.

2. Tutorial For New Products

In the OpenBCI Docs Section, we added a tutorial to show how the new OpenBCI Headband goes together with our boards for acquisition and visualization of EEG data!

3. Community Member of the Month

This month we are giving a shout-out to Richard Waltman, who has been writing lines upon lines of GUI code to add brand-new features, including the ability to save/load your favorite GUI settings via dropdown menu or keyboard shortcut! We hope these changes will decrease set-up time for everyone. He’s made a fantastic contribution to BCI software and we’d like to commend him!

Why Richard gets the OpenBCI cool badge?:
