Using Wifi shield to Stream Data to a 3rd Party Micro controller (like a Huzzah)

edited July 2018 in Wifi Shield
Hey,

I was wondering if it is possible to have a wifi compatible microcontroller connect to the openBCI WIFI Shield and steam live data to the microcontroller?

Has anyone attempted this / is the WIFI shield even made to do such a thing?

if so, what what the data look like coming into the microcontroller?

Thanks!

  • Hey Scott! Are you looking to stream over Serial? Or via WiFi?

    Thanks!

  • AJ,

I was hoping to increase the sampling rate to somewhere closer to 1000 hz as the the BLE serial only offers 200 hz which can be seen as unprofessional for an EMG signal.

I also would need to but able to stream data over a  wired SPI connection to another microcontroller however BCI devices seem to be more compatible with the WIFI shield. Since I dont think the Ganglion library supports SPI wired connection, WIFI is my best next option!
