Ganglion time series spikes

Hi,
I've recently purchased the Ganglion board to read EEG signals.
Unfortunately, I'm getting periodic glitches; there are voltage spikes every second or so (sorry the image won't upload).

I've been following the EEG tutorial (https://docs.openbci.com/GettingStarted/Biosensing-Setups/EEGSetup/) with EEG earclips and goldcup electrodes.
I'm using a 3.7v 500mAh LiPo battery.

Would anyone have any insight into the situation?

Help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

re: problems uploading image. The image size must be under a certain limit to avoid huge resolution jpegs. Try reducing the file size.

re: spikes. You mention gold cups, what type of ear clips are you using? Do you see any difference if you use similar gold cups for ground and reference?

Another cause of spikes can be electrical equipment in your area. Try relocating to a quiet area, away from extension cords, power supplies, LED lamps, wifi equipment, conduits in walls floors ceilings etc.

    Hi William,
    thank you for your help.

I've managed to remove the spikes by
    1) using all gold cup electrodes
    2) moving to a quieter area
    3) turning off the other channels not in use

    Best,

For issues such as this, a screenshot is required to proceed with debugging.
