how many decimal places for the RAW EEG, can it be 4 to 5 places with an extra edit. what is the limit

    EEG amplitudes below 1 microvolt, are usually just considered noise and therefore insignificant.

    Most useful EEG is in the range of say 4 to 80 microvolts. As EEG below 4 microvolts again contains a lot of noise. EEG that is contaminated with EMG or EOG can easily be over 100 microvolts. It's important to remove or filter out any such artifacts.

    With the Cyton ADS1299 chip, 24 bit data samples, the low order bit represents about 0.02 microvolts. So the low order few bits of these 24 bit samples are mostly noise.

    can software determine the decimal value. if the eeg value is 1000.88 nomally can software make it 1000.888888

    Your signal processing software can do anything it wants. But note the earlier comments, EEG below a microvolt is really just noise.
