Ultracortex, electrode holders too small? [resolved]

At loooong last I have 3D printed the Mark IV Ultracortex and I have the blue electrodes to go with it that you can buy in the shop. I printed it size large.

Are the blue dry comb electrodes specific to some smaller size? They don’t seem to fit. They are significantly smaller than the size of the holes for them.

Also, it seems the package came with some weird blue things that look like the electrodes but they have a button connected to a spring but no electrode. What’s that for, make your own electrode?

    Hackr, hi.

Did you follow the instructions for printing the ultracortex? Each electrode position in the frame, needs to have an 'insert' glued in.

'Button' electrodes are the 'comfort' nodes, to distribute weight.

    Ah ha! Thanks William.

I probably did not do my due diligence on this. I read the instructions almost a year ago and ended up paying someone to print the frame for me.

I guess the inserts were also supposed to be 3D printed and they didn’t do that or the holder for the board itself :/

Maybe I can make inserts out of cardboard...

I assume your cardboard remark is in jest. The inserts are threaded, and essential for proper adjustment of the position and spring tension of each electrode assembly.

I'm sure your printer can give you a reasonable quote, or shop around.

Thanks again. I just bit the bullet and bought a cheap printer.

    Sigh...

Actually despite how it looks I think my attempts are functional now. Woohoo!
