It seems like the board may be defective.

I recently bought a second board for the lab exercise at school, and the second board is not functioning as I expected. When measuring, I either get no signal at all or full noise (in a simple EMG measurement, which worked perfectly with the first board). I did some research, but nothing particularly stood out to me. My second question would be why we are not allowed to press the reset button, as it says on a note.

I can measure everything with the first board, but the second board is not working. Could it be defective and do I have to return it?
it would be kind, if somebody can help me with this problem.
