Wifi shield/Cyton not working after use

During a session, the cyton board/wifi shield seemed to crash after getting railed, and since then we have not been able to reestablish a connection with it or the board. The wifi shield will still show up in the wifi options, but it will not connect after clicking connect, nor will it show up in the GUI connection wizard. All LEDs on the cyton and wifi board indicate that it should be working as normal. This comes after several successful uses, and we have not been able to find a solution otherwise.
